How to Be a Submissive Wife!

1Peter 3:3-6

Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within the unfading beauty of a gentle quiet spirit which so precious to God. This is how the Holy of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands

Proverbs 3:11-12

My child, don’t ignore it when the Lord disciplines you and don’t be discouraged when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.

In our monthly women’s meeting we have been reading on the book  Lies women believe and the truth that sets them free and at the beginning of each chapter it began with an epilogue written by Eve. Below is an epilogue of Eve 2008; what her diary would say if she was to journal from our lives today.

Dear Diary,

Adam is getting on my nerves. We argue, fuss and fight about everything. Here he goes again about another vision he claim God gave him, that’s why we in debt now. I am going to sit back and watch him fail so I can say I told you so. Not only that, he’s still struggling with lust and pornography to the point that I refuse to make love to him. Our children are out of control and I feel like I have died and went to hell. I don’t know what else to do cause God doesn’t care about me.

                       YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER!

When you walk by a vending machine and see an out of order sign on it you have sense enough not to invest your money in something where there is no return. That is how God looks at us as women who refuse to submit to our husbands. God has a out of order sign on your temple and He refuses to invest any money in you because He knows that you will not give him a return on His money.

In the Webster Dictionary the definition of:

Submission- an agreement to submit a dispute to and abide by the decision of the arbitrator.

Arbitrator- one having the ability or power to make authoritative decisions.

Your arbitrator is God, so you are supposed to take your problems and concerns to God and allow Him to correct the problem by submitting under your husband.

You may be sitting here saying I don’t know your story/struggle but God knows. As women we struggle with submission when our husbands are out of order but God. We need to learn that a Virtuous Wife fasts, prays and seeks God’s face for the answer instead of arguing, fussing and fighting with their husband.

1 Peter 3:1-2

In the same way you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then even if some refuse to obey the word of Good news, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over by observing your pure and reverent lives.

This scripture is saying to allow God to speak on your behalf. When your husbands are not where they need to be your job is to intercede in prayer instead of talking at him. Newsflash (HE CAN’T HERE YOU BECAUSE OF ALL THE YELLING). They automatically tune you out as soon as you start arguing. The Holy Spirit will convict a man of God if you submit to your husband. Trust me I know because I had to learn the hard way. But because I learned to be submissive it has blessed my marriage beyond my imagination.

I would like to recommend some books on how to become a Virtuous Wife. These books will transform your marriage.

Let God fight your battle!

Ecclesiastes 7:13

Notice the way God does things; then fall into line. Don’t fight the ways of God, for who can straighten out what is made crooked.

Stop tearing down your house!

Proverbs 14:1

The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

I know that prayer changes things!

James 5:16

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

Watch your mouth!

Proverbs 15:2

A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.

The power of God’s forgiveness!

Matthew 6:14

If your forgive those who sin against you, your Heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your father will not forgive your sins.

You have lost your mind!

Ephesians 4:31-32

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, harsh words and slander as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another just as Christ has forgiven you.

He's Sill The Man!

No matter what you feel your husband is still the man and when you fall in line with what the word of God say's. Your husband, your job, your finances and your children with line up with the promises that God has for his children.

Ecclesiastes 2:26

God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to thoase who please him. This, too, is meaningless- like chasing the wind.

Remember it is a sin if you do not obey the word of God. Submission is a law so if you are out of order you are living in sin.

Your job as a wife:

FAST, PRAY, SEEK GOD'S FACE

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, CARRY YOUR HUSBANDS VISION!

A man does not have a womb to carry the vision to term. Your job is to give birth to the vision and remember if his vision fails it is because you had an abortion by not carrying it to term. Whatever you have to do to carry it; (make business cards, work 2 jobs, etc). Do what you have to do because that is where God's promise of prosperity comes from.

STOP COMPLAINING WHAT IS NOT RIIGHT AND HELP HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
