The Key to Finding God’s Love  

In order for you to truly love yourself; you must first find the love of God. His love is unconditional and unfailing. Are you walking in unforgiveness?  Are you ready to be healed from all the hurt and pain that dwells in your heart?  Today is one of the greatest days of your life.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes always perseveres. Love never fails.

The key to finding God’s love is forgiving others and letting go of the hurt and pain. Now you may be asking where do I begin? You must understand that healing is a process. It is not something that happens overnight it takes God’s love to find true healing.

Leviticus 19:18

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.

Who do you have a grudge against that has caused you harm?

Ask God to release that from your heart so that you can be set free from the hurt and pain.

1 Thessalonians 5:15

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

Who would you like to get back at for hurting you? Who do you wish death over because they did not treat you right?

God is saying to you that you must not pay back wrong for wrong. It is not your place to judge a person for the wrong decision they have made instead pray for your enemies.

Hebrews 12:1

Unforgiveness will hinder you from God showing you His unfailing love. Today forgive those whom have caused you harm so that you can experience the true love of God in your life.

Ephesians 4:22-24

Strip off your old self, which follows your former ways of living and ruins you as it follows the desires that deceive you. Become new in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self, which is created to be like God, righteous and holy in the truth.

Now that you have decided to leave your former self behind and allow the spirit of God to put on a new self within your inner man, let go of drug addiction, alcoholism, molestation etc. Don’t allow your past to dictate your future; instead allow God to make you over to that new person that finds God’s true love, peace, joy happiness.

Ephesians 4:31-32

You must remove all bitterness, rage, anger, threats and insults with all malice. You must practice being kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ Jesus has graciously forgiven you.

So know that just as God has forgiven us it is a principle that we forgive others that have caused us pain. It is not about the other person and how they respond. It is about you walking in the true love of God. He will then teach you to love yourself and to love others. But you can’t experience true love when you are walking in unforgiveness.  Today release yourself of allowing hurt and pain to control your life and experience the true love of God.

Dear Heavenly Father I come asking you to forgive me of my sins known and unknown. I ask that you would release this unforgiveness from my heart, cleanse me and make me whole. Teach me to love with your unconditional love. Help me to find my purpose in life and teach me and mold me into who you want me to be. Remove any delays, distractions and strongholds that are in my path. Release any generational curses that are in my life and help me to leave my past behind and look forward to my future and I will forever give you all the glory and praise.
